About
Established in 1966, Dubai Exiles Rugby Football Club is the oldest Sports Club in the United Arab Emirates. The Club is located at the World Famous Emirates Dubai Sevens Stadium in Dubai and provides rugby, netball and cricket to its membership.
In 1970 the Club famously founded the now international ‘Dubai Sevens’ tournament and hosted the tournament at the Exiles’ rugby ground in Al Awir until both the Exiles and the tournament moved to their new home at the Sevens Stadium in 2008.
The senior men’s rugby side remains a power in the Gulf region and competes in the West Asia Premiership, the UAE Premiership and also the Gulf Men’s competition at the Emirates Dubai Sevens tournament.
The Club has a large and vibrant Mini & Youth rugby section which provides rugby for boys and girls from the ages of 4 years through to under 19. 2011 saw netball introduced to the membership followed by a well received Cricket section in 2017.
Dubai Exiles Rugby Football Club is a fully licensed not-for-profit organisation that is licensed in the United Arab Emirates by the Community Development Authority (CDA).
