It’s confirmed, Rugby, Netball and Cricket at Dubai Exiles gets underway on Friday 4th September!
The Sevens Stadium, and The Dubai Exiles have everything in place to more than meet the current UAERF Return to Rugby Guidelines and we’re extremely excited about seeing our members, new and old, back at the club.
The Clubhouse will be open, seating has been rearranged to to meet the current guidelines and of course there’ll be plenty of room on the club terraces (even when social distanced) where you can keep an eye on proceedings down on the pitches.
We encourage you to read the ‘UAERF Return to Rugby Guidelines – Covid-19’.
On a Friday morning, as an Exiles member, you will be able to access the Sevens via an exclusive entrance. Sevens security staff will be making contactless temperature checks before entry is permitted. Every precaution is being taken between the Sevens and the Dubai Exiles to ensure the wellbeing of our Exiles family and the wider community.
- Contactless temperature checks
- Hand sanitisation stations located around the building, rugby pitches, netball courts and the cricket ovals
- Washrooms are open and regularly cleaned and sanitised
- Limited seating around the facilities
- Parents can enjoy watching their child have fun but will not be allowed on to the pitch, court or cricket oval
- On pitch, court, oval sanitisation will take place between every 60 minute session.
When you come along to enjoy your favourite sport, you’ll need to bring your own water bottle and towel. It would be great of you can also bring your own hand sanitiser, avoid any unnecessary physical contact, high fives or ‘congratulatory hugs’ after side-stepping 3 defenders and scoring a magnificent try under the posts!
You will need to wear a mask at all times, but they can be lowered during any strenuous activity. Team Managers, Coaches, First Aiders, Exiles and Sevens staff will be available to answer any questions or give guidance if needed. It goes without saying, if you feel unwell, in any way, or have been in contact with someone who is unwell, please do not attend!
