Paris, France, will host the Junior Touch Rugby Championships this August. Teams and referees from around the world have almost finished preparing for this year’s event which begins on August 16th.
5 Dubai Exiles players will be helping to represent the Middle East in Under 18 Mixed, Under 18 Girls and Under 15 Mixed Touch throughout this year’s competition.
What started life as a small, informal tournament has grown into a large event which is now run and administered by the European Federation of Touch [Rugby] (EFT). 2019 is the first year that the U18 categories will receive international caps and it is also the first year that the USA and Switzerland have entered teams.
Other teams taking part include England, Wales, Scotland, Ireland, France and the Czech Republic. It’s going to prove to be a great competition.
We hope that Jamie Annand, Matthew Johnstone, Helen Soens, Femke Soens and Lara Botha have a wonderful time playing Touch Rugby in one of the most vibrant and beautiful cities in Europe.
