England and Loughborough Lightning scrum half, Jess Weaver, will head up the coaching team of the Dubai Exiles Under 18 Girls for the upcoming 2024-25 UAE rugby season.
Jess recently took up her position as Head of EYFS Physical Education at Kent College Dubai, after completing a BASc in Sports and Exercise.
Jess, a hugely experienced elite level player, took her first steps into rugby at Newark RFC in Nottinghamshire at the age of eleven.
After being identified by England Rugby’s Talent Development Group she had her first taste of international women’s rugby, aged just seventeen, for England Women U18 (TDG) against Emerging Wales at the Principality Stadium in April 2018. Just one year later she captained England in the very same fixture.
In 2018 Jess was signed by Loughborough Lightning and made her first appearance in England’s Premier 15s competition as scrum half against the Saracens.
Jess made 56 appearances for the Lightning before moving to Dubai to take up her role with Kent College.
After representing England in 15s, Jess earned her first full England 7s cap in the World Series held in Toulouse in 2022. She then went on to represent Great Britain in Rugby Europe‘s Women’s 7s Championship in Hamburg in July 2023.
We can’t wait to see Jess, and the Exiles Under 18 Girls teams on the pitches at The Sevens Stadium throughout the 2024-25 UAE rugby season! We’re sure you’re all going to have an amazing 2024-25!
