As the calendar turns its page into December we take a look back at November, still no competitive contact rugby being played, but some signs of change as the Super Six Touch Rugby competitions get the go ahead and provide a platform to play at least some form of rugby.

Once again, our under 19 girls side walked away with the top piece of silverware. Our senior men’s side, not really familiar with touch rugby, made it to the semi-finals. Our under 19 rugby players made the quarters and our under 13s had a great time – almost pulling off a huge shock against one of the adult sides and favourites for the tournament!

Our under 5s, under 6s, under 7s, under 8s and under 9s all have a great time on a Friday morning with our Primary Schools teachers and senior players
Try time for this young man!
This young lady has a a lot of fun on the pitch running around with her brother, sisters and new friends
Always wise to survey the situation before the ball comes to you
Our Mini & Youth Rugby is still attracting new members on a weekly basis, even as we reach what would, in any normal year, be the half-way point of the season.
Dubai Exiles RFC is evidently a great place to be on a Friday morning. Just the volume of the laughter and enjoyment coming off Pitch 7 at 8am on a Friday morning is a wonderful noise. It’s fantastic to see so many youngsters running around, learning new skills, making new friends and having such a fantastic time – it’s what rugby and a rugby club is all about.

Cricket
Of course, it’s not just rugby here at the Dubai Exiles, both of our cricket sides have been doing extremely well in recent weeks. The 1s have had a great season in Dubai Super League Cricket and played themselves into the semi-finals of the Premier Play-offs. Our 2s have gelled together and are now scoring wins in the Mammoth Cricket League.
Netball
Still can’t see the Exiles Natbell at The Sevens on a Friday morning? That’s because they’re away, playing in the Junior Netball Leagues which take place on Fridays. Just like out cricketers, they’re doing extremely well too! Exiles ‘Red’ Netball scoring 3 wins out of 3 as they ran away with their pool last weekend.
