Huge congratulations to Dubai Exiles‘ Joshua Fritz who ran out on the grass at Loftus Versfield, the home of the Vodacom Bulls, yesterday afternoon in the South Africa Rugby Under 19 Cup. It turned into a great afternoon for ‘Fritzy‘ and his teammates leaving Loftus Versfield and returning home to the DHL Stadium with a 25 – 26 win.
Josh first joined Dubai Exiles RFC as a seven year old in 2011 playing tag rugby. He’s been a member of the club ever since coming all the way through the Exiles‘ age groups to the Under 19s with whom he won everything that can be one in domestic UAE rugby. Josh made his senior debut for the Dubai Exiles in the 24 – 21 win over the Abu Dhabi Saracens in UAE Division 1 aged just 17 years and 10 months.

Josh, who predominantly plays his rugby in the furnace of the front row, is a talented and astute player with handling skills that would grace any back line. His ability to adapt and cover a number of positions earned him a place in the Exiles‘ Under 19 Emirates Dubai 7s side that made the final of the 2022 tournament in front of over 14,000 spectators.
