Dubai Exiles RFC‘s, Amanda Hameon and Robyn Etherington, have been selected by the UAE for the upcoming Asia Rugby Women’s 7s Series being hosted at the Namdong Incheon Asiad Rugby Stadium by the Republic of Korea.
Robyn Etherington is well acquainted with international women’s rugby having pulled on the national shirt of the UAE for a number of seasons at home and across Asia.
For Amanda, who is also a keen footballer and who’s first exposure to rugby was with the Exiles in just 2022, Incheon will be her first experience of wearing the international rugby shirt of the UAE.

The UAE Women gained promotion to the elite level Asia Rugby Women’s 7s Series by defeating India by 26 points to 5 in the final of the Asia Rugby Women’s 7s Trophy competition in Qatar.
The opening round of the Asia Rugby Women’s 7s Series, September 7th & 8th in Incheon, will be contested between all of the region’s ‘heavy hitters’.
Teams from Japan, Hong Kong China, China, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, and Kazakhstan will battle it out alongside newly promoted UAE.
The full squad for Incheon is: Tara Cooney, Amanda Hameon (Exiles), Harriet Witty, Shouq Ahli, Alex Cook, Georgia Barber, Hollie Murphy, Robyn Etherington (Exiles), Kylie Masur, Helen Amos, Eve Robinson, and Hannah Underhill.
