Aidan Seyfferdt scores
It was a very hot 3pm kick off at Zayed Sports City in UAE Division 1 as the young, and not so young, Exiles players took to the field against Abu Dhabi Harlequins.
Louis George Snyman was thrilled to run the line!
Tarek Mursal put in some enormous hits
The Exiles had come fully loaded with plenty of ORS Hydration tablets to help the Exiles players not only do battle with the Abu Dhabi Harlequins, but to also battle the heat which, throughout the game, drained the energy from the players on both sides.
By the time the whistle blew for half-time, the Dubai Exiles ‘Super Twos’ had held the older and more experienced Abu Dhabi Harlequins to just one penalty but scored four tries themselves. Sajeewa Chathuranga was the first to cross for the young Exiles side, followed by Aidan Seyfferdt, Anojan Balasundaran and Thusitha Dushan. 3 – 24 looked like a healthy lead with no sign of the Abu Dhabi sunshine easing off.

The second half was more one-way traffic from the young Dubai Exiles team. Another 4 tries were posted on the board for the Exiles. Thuisitha Dushan scored, Anojan Balasundaran grabbed another, Keith Nyoni thumped his way over near the posts and teenager, Max Hennessey, finished the game off.
Anojan Balasundaran almost gets away
It was almost relief all around when the referee blew the final whistle, not because of the rugby or the score, but just to escape the Abu Dhabi afternoon heat. 11 – 52 to the Dubai Exiles‘ ‘Super Twos’
