Girls can start and enjoy rugby at Dubai Exiles RFC from the age of 3 or 4 years where they play mini-rugby in the Dubai sunshine of Pitch 7 at The Sevens Stadium on a Friday morning.
From Under 9 to Under 12 players can choose to play U11 ‘Quick Rip’ rugby and continue to develop their passing skills, spacial awareness, and evasive running skills without the more familiar contact and impacts.
Under 13 and Under 15 Girls ‘Quick Rip’ rugby continues to develop the essential skills of rugby in a less ‘gladiatorial’ form of the game before stepping back into full contact seven-a-side rugby at Under 19.
This structure is designed to make rugby more appealing and more accessible to many girls who would like to get involved with the sport in Dubai.
