After a helping the UAE to a resounding victory over Guam in the semi-final of the ARC Division 2 Championships (82-7), Exiles players Ed Armitage, Jaen Botes, Stephen Ferguson, Gio Fourie, Matt Mills, Thinus Steyn and Lukas Waddington again wielded huge influence in the final against host nation, Thailand.

In the final, the UAE national team thrashed Thailand by 50 – 12 in Hua Hin. 8 tries were scored in total with Exiles players contributing with tries from Stephen Ferguson (2) and Jaen Botes (1). Jaen Botes finished the tournament as the leading try scorer with 5 in total.
