Dubai Exiles’ and UAE captain, Matt Mills will coach the Exiles Under 10s during the upcoming 2024-25 rugby season.
Matt, a PE Teacher at Dubai English Speaking College, recently captained the UAE to the runners-up spot in their first year in the Asia Rugby Championship.
Wins over the Republic of Korea (36 – 32) and Malaysia (62 – 19) at The Sevens Stadium gave the UAE second spot in the Asia Rugby Championship table.
Matt is no stranger to Sevens either, he also captained the UAE 7s side to the Men’s Asia Rugby 7s Trophy title at the Surakul Stadium in Phuket, Thailand.
Matt, from Northampton, England, played his rugby at Old Northamptonians RFC before moving to Dubai. Since then he’s won everything that can be won in West Asia and UAE domestic rugby.
He’s a multiple winner of the UAE Premiership, the West Asia Premiership, and the Emirates Dubai 7s.
Matt made his international rugby debut against Gibraltar, at Dubai Sports City in April 2018, and promptly announced himself on the international rugby stage with a man of the match performance.
We can’t wait to see you and the Dubai Exiles Under 10s on the pitches at The Sevens Stadium later this month!
We’re sure you’re all going to have a fantastic 2024-25!
