It’s continuing to be a busy pre-season for the Dubai Exiles as we prepare for the upcoming West Asia Premiership, UAE Premiership and UAE Division 1 rugby campaigns. The Exiles‘ ranks have been boosted once again with the addition of another three players from that most emerald of isles.
Robbie Deegan
Robbie Deegan will no doubt have met recent Exiles‘ signing, John Donnan, on the rugby pitches of All-Ireland Division 1A on a few occasions. Robbie is a high class centre who has played rugby at Old Belvedere, Shannon RFC and Munster ‘A’.
Donal Spain
Donal Spain is another player who joins the Dubai Exiles with a high pedigree. Before moving to the UAE, Donal played his rugby at one of the oldest and most famous of Irish rugby clubs, Lansdowne, based in Dublin. Donal brings a reputation as a hard scrummaging and hard running hooker.
Sean McGrane
Sean McGrane makes up the Exiles trio of Irishmen who have joined the club in the last couple of weeks raising the numbers of the club’s Irish contingent alongside Stephen ‘Stavo’ Ferguson and John Donnan. Before moving to Dubai Sean played for Dundalk RFC in the Leinster League.
Welcome to the Dubai Exiles and UAE rugby gentlemen! We’re sure you’ll have a great time playing rugby with us!
